At Home with Mica
Mica roll laminates have got a new home. Some of you may already know about mica’s unique insulating properties, but we thought it was a good idea to explain briefly its benefits on our home page. Mica is a natural mineral with physical properties that make it ideally suited for a whole range of high temperature insulation applications. Its sheer versatility means we can offer our customers strategically devised insulation solutions across a broad spectrum of industries and sectors.
Mica is supremely adaptable, to the point where it feels like a well-kept secret that underpins so much industrial and commercial activity. If it is a secret, however, we’re here to make it an open one.
You’ll find mica in power cables, blast furnaces, aluminium smelters and furnace wiring. It provides vital insulation for commonplace items such as heat guns. And you’ll also find it in fire and security alarm systems, surveillance systems, and in boilers and heaters.
